Job summary

A growing construction company in Cape Town is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate has 5 years of relevant experience, CHSO SACPCMP registration, and SAMTRAC certification. This is a 1-year contract position with negotiable salary and set working days from Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must have CHSO SACPCMP Registration for at least 5 years.
• Accident-free valid driver's license for at least 2 years.
• Must have SAMTRAC certification.
• 5 years of experience working with City of Cape Town or Western Cape Provincial Government clients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist on-site health and safety performance and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.

The Client, a growing company in construction is looking for a qualified and experienced person to join their Team as a Health and Safety Officer.

Minimum Requirements

• CHSO SACPCMP Registration (For more than 5 consecutive years)
• Valid driver's license (accident free for at least 2 years)
• SAMTRAC
• 5 Years Experience having City of Cape Town or Western Cape Provincial Government as Clients

Responsibilities

The Construction Health and Safety Officer will monitor and assist on‑site health and safety performance and compliance in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.

This is a 1‑year contract position.

Salary: Negotiable

Please note working days are Mondays to Fridays, 08:00 to 17:00 and every alternate Saturday from 08:00 to 13:30.
