RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking an EXPERIENCED ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT (PROPERTY INDUSTRY) for a well-established concern based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

Our client is seeking a qualified, mature, reliable, and sober-minded lady to join their team. The ideal candidate will have all-round knowledge and experience in property management and letting, supply chain in the building sector, bookkeeping, and knowledge of labour laws and health and safety.

Job Description:

  • Grade 12 qualification.
  • Bookkeeping / accounting qualification is an advantage or previous experience in this industry.
  • Valid Code 08 driver's license. Willingness to travel between properties in Pietermaritzburg and Howick using a company vehicle.
  • Competent computer skills (MS Office, Email/Internet). Advanced skills in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Sage Pastel Partner.
  • Understanding of accounting practices.
  • General assistance with collection and delivery of documents and goods.
  • Technically minded with knowledge of property management, including maintenance of buildings and grounds.
  • Supervision of maintenance team and liaising with management.
  • Knowledge of the SA Legal System related to property rental matters.
  • Liaison with tenants, estate agents, and potential clients.
  • Knowledge of lease agreements and property letting (commercial and residential).
  • Understanding of labour laws, occupational health and safety, and administration requirements for submissions like Workmen's Compensation, IOD, UI19s, disciplinary procedures, and CCMA.
