Job summary

Road Accident Fund in Pretoria seeks a Chief Executive Officer for a five-year fixed-term contract to provide strategic direction and oversee all RAF operations in line with the RAF Act. The role requires high-level governance, financial acumen and a proven turnaround track record.

You will drive strategic planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement and transformation across the organisation, with a negotiable remuneration package. Closing date 28 September 2025.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree in business, law or finance or related field.
  • Master’s degree in business management/leadership is advantageous.
  • 10+ years in an executive role with governance experience.
  • Turnaround experience in a complex organisation.
  • Knowledge of public and/or private sector governance.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and lead strategic direction for the RAF and its transformation.
  • Ensure corporate governance and engagement with RAF Board and committees.
  • Monitor performance and implement actions to achieve objectives.
  • Lead the digital modernization journey and stakeholder engagement.
  • Oversee claims management lifecycle and financial sustainability.
