Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Banqueting & Events Coordinator for a Centurion venue. You will plan, coordinate and deliver banquets, conferences and private functions from conception to completion.

You will liaise with clients, collaborate with catering and AV teams, and develop proposals, menus and floor plans to meet venue capabilities. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required to meet event schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in event planning or banqueting coordination.
• Strong organizational, time management and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in event management software and standard office applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute banqueting functions including weddings, corporate events, and parties.
• Serve as the primary client contact throughout the planning process.
• Coordinate with catering, banqueting staff and AV to ensure seamless execution.
• Develop proposals, menus, floor plans and timelines to meet client needs.
• Manage event budgets, invoicing and payments.
• Post-event follow-up to maintain client relationships.
