What Youll Do
  • Prepare, cook, and plate dishes for events, retreats, and banquets of all sizes.
  • Support the Head Chef in setting up and executing outdoor functions, plated dinners, and buffet service.
  • Ensure every dish leaves the kitchen beautifully presented, on time, and at the highest standard.
  • Work across multiple venues and setups, maintaining smooth service flow under pressure.
  • Uphold impeccable hygiene, food-safety, and quality-control standards.
  • Contribute ideas for seasonal menus and creative event concepts.
  • Assist with prep lists, stock rotation, and mise en place to keep the kitchen running efficiently.
What You Bring
  • South African citizen or valid work permit.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in hotel or event catering environments.
  • Solid background in banqueting, functions, or large-scale plated service.
  • Excellent knife skills, attention to detail, and pride in presentation.
  • A genuine passion for food, teamwork, and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and off-site functions.
