Placements24 is seeking a diligent Catering Assistant to support busy catering operations at a Soweto events venue. You will assist with food preparation, service, setup, and breakdown across conferences, banquets, and private celebrations.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or hospitality preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Able to work in a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages for events.
• Serve food and drinks to guests efficiently and courteously during event service.
• Set up event spaces, including arranging tables, buffets, and service areas according to event requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in service areas and back-of-house spaces.
• Assist with the breakdown of event setups and post-event cleaning duties.
