Job summary

Network Finance is seeking an experienced Estimator/Draughtsman for a leading glass, aluminium and façade contractor. You will prepare accurate estimates, tenders, material take-offs and quotations for aluminium and glazing projects, and support projects from tender stage through installation.

The role requires producing technical and shop drawings, interpreting architectural plans and specifications, calculating glass and aluminium requirements, procuring materials, and liaising with clients,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience as Estimator or Draughtsman in aluminium/glazing/facade sector.
• Proven ability to prepare quotations, tenders, BOQs and costing estimates.
• Strong knowledge of glass, aluminium systems, shopfronts and curtain walling.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; exposure to Starfront, Logikal or Revit is a plus.
• Qualifications in Draughting or related technical field (MDDOP, Engineering Draughting).

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical and shop drawings from architectural plans.
• Compute material tak-offs and glass/aluminium quantities.
• Procure materials and liaise with clients, architects and contractors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, tenders, material take-offs and quotations for aluminium and glazing projects. Duties include producing technical and shop drawings, interpreting architectural plans and specifications, calculating glass and aluminium requirements, procuring materials, liaising with clients, architects and contractors, conducting site measurements and supporting projects from tender stage through to installation.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience as an Estimator, Draughtsman or Estimator/Draughtsman within the aluminium, glazing or façade industry.
• Proven experience preparing quotations, tenders, BOQs, material take-offs and costing estimates.
• Strong knowledge of glass, aluminium systems, shopfronts, curtain walling, cladding and fabrication processes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, with exposure to industry-related software such as Starfront, Logikal, Revit or similar being advantageous.
• Relevant qualification in Draughting, Multi-Disciplinary Drawing Office Practice (MDDOP), Engineering Draughting or a related technical field.
