Job Description

To ensure that deceased estates are onboarded, administered and finalised professionally based on the Administration of Estates Act 66 of 1965 and other applicable legislation.

Are you someone who can
  • Independently manage end-to-end Deceased Estates Administration in terms of the Administration of Estates Act.
  • Manage customer relationships and escalations.
  • Be an analytical thinker and utilize legal background/knowledge to problem solve complexities that arise in estate administration.
  • Have an understanding and practical knowledge of business entities, estate duty, capital gains and income tax relating to deceased estates.
  • Possess good drafting skills and communication.
  • Understand and manage risk and compliance features within the financial (fiduciary) industry and manage complexity.
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management.
You will be an ideal candidate if you
  • Have a legal or deceased estates qualification (preferably LLB, CFP or Estates Diploma qualification).
  • Have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience administering complex deceased estates/high net worth clients within a fiduciary environment.
  • Have experience dealing with businesses and farming enterprises (advantageous).
  • Can work under pressure and meet financial targets.
