We are seeking a passionate and charismatic Estate Ambassador, based in Gauteng, to represent our prestigious estate and bring our wines, values, and experiences to life for customers, trade partners, and the public.

This position reports directly to the Global Sales & Marketing Manager and forms part of the Marketing team. As the face of Rupert & Rothschild in Gauteng, the Estate Ambassador must combine trade‑driven engagement with authentic consumer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Rupert & Rothschild at tastings, events, and promotional activities locally and nationally.
  • Educate guests on our wines, winemaking philosophy, and the rich history of our estate.
  • Engage with both trade and consumer audiences, ensuring the brand is consistently represented across retail, hospitality, and direct‑to‑consumer channels.
  • Live and embody the brand by building authentic connections, hosting bespoke events when required, and creating memorable experiences for clients and guests.
  • Build strong relationships with wine club members, distributors, and retail partners.
  • Network with potential customers to create lasting connections.
  • Support marketing initiatives by providing content and insights from events and customer interactions.
  • Assist in curating and sharing engaging social media content.
  • Help plan, coordinate, and execute marketing events with professionalism.
  • Ensure every brand engagement delivers an exceptional customer experience aligned with our values.
  • Monitor customer preferences and share insights on advertising and positioning opportunities.
  • Provide regular feedback on market trends and competitor activity.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and key events.
  • Act as a true brand storyteller, consistently reflecting our ethos and heritage.

Requirements
  • Diploma / Degree in Marketing & Sales (WSET or other internationally recognized wine‑related qualifications advantageous).
  • 3–5 years' experience as a representative for premium or world‑class wine estates (or luxury brands within the hospitality, lifestyle, or beverage sector).
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver with precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and luxury standards, ensuring every engagement reflects the exclusivity of Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons.
  • Proven experience hosting and presenting to both trade and consumer audiences, with confidence in tailoring messaging to different market segments.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel nationally when required.
  • Ability to work independently, while collaborating effectively within a marketing team.
  • Strong administrative, reporting, and feedback skills.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to convey a sense of elegance and sophistication in every interaction.
  • Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
