Job description

To provide both Esports coaching and IT technical support within a private school environment. The role combines competitive gaming leadership with day-to-day IT operational support to ensure effective learning delivery and technical functionality across the school.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • CompTIA A+, N+ or equivalent certification
  • 1–3 years of hands-on IT support or hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven experience coaching or competing at a high level in Counter-Strike, Valorant, and / or Fortnite
  • Own reliable transport
Key Performance Areas:
  • Lead, coach, and mentor students in Esports, developing team strategy and sportsmanship
  • Manage Esports practices, competitions, and gaming activities across multiple titles
  • Provide daily IT support and troubleshooting for staff, students, and school devices
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and peripherals
  • Support users with Microsoft Office applications and related systems
  • Assist with school operations such as supervision duties, exam invigilation, and substitution teaching when required
  • Promote a disciplined, inclusive, and positive environment that balances academic and gaming excellence
