Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in environmental management within mining or industrial sectors.
• Experience with environmental impact assessments and rehabilitation planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor environmental management plans (EMPs).
• Conduct EIAs for new projects and expansions.
• Oversee mine rehabilitation and closure planning activities.
• Monitor water quality, air quality, noise and biodiversity; analyze data.
• Ensure compliance with national and provincial environmental laws and permits.
• Liaise with regulators, stakeholders and community representatives.
• Investigate environmental incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver environmental awareness training to site personnel.
• Manage budgets and contracts with external providers.
• Contribute to sustainability reporting and initiatives.
