Qualifications

  • Certification in HSE audit is preferable.

Job description

This esteemed global client is responsible for delivering exciting EPC and Marine dredging projects across the globe. With 50 years of marine, engineering, procurement and construction experience in creating world-class turnkey solutions onshore and offshore energy and marine sectors.

We are looking for your expertise as a Environmental Manager to lead environmental compliance and occupational safety programs that support sustainable, safe, and efficient dredging and marine construction activities. The manager ensures that projects meet legal and ethical standards for environmental protection while maintaining a safe working environment for personnel onshore and offshore. This role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with environmental agencies and stakeholders to report findings and obtain permits.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols for offshore and coastal works.
  • Ensure compliance with OHS standards such as ISO 45001 and local maritime safety laws.
  • Deliver environmental and safety training to crews, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Promote a safety culture through toolbox talks, workshops, and behavior-based safety programs.
  • Prepare environmental impact assessments (EIAs), safety reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain logs of waste management, emissions, and hazardous material handling.
  • Develop and test emergency response plans for oil spills, equipment failure, and environmental hazards.
