Placements24 in Bloemfontein is seeking a motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing product development team. You will assist in design, modeling, testing, and refining mechanical components, working under senior engineers to bring ideas from concept to production.

This entry-level role offers hands-on experience with CAD tools like SolidWorks and AutoCAD, exposure to BOMs, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
0-3 years of experience in mechanical design or product development.
Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems using CAD software under the guidance of senior engineers.
Contribute to the creation of engineering drawings, 3D models, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
Support the setup and execution of product testing and validation procedures.
Analyze test data and experimental results, and document findings accurately.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical challenges and design iterations.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues during the development and manufacturing phases.
