Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer for our client in Mahikeng. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience under the guidance of senior engineers, with exposure to design, analysis, testing and implementation across electrical projects.

You will assist with basic calculations, participate in testing and commissioning, and help prepare reports, drawings, and specifications while developing a solid foundation for a career in electrical engineering in the North West province.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong academic record and understanding of fundamental electrical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with electrical CAD software and simulation tools is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the design and development of electrical systems and components.
• Conduct basic electrical calculations and simulations under supervision.
• Participate in the testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and installations.
• Prepare technical documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Support troubleshooting efforts for electrical systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with project teams and follow established engineering processes and procedures.
