Our Client is looking for an Entry-Level Full Stack Developer to join the core Software Engineering team within their global IT Hub, supporting the "Technical Campaign Decision" platform.
This unified platform facilitates the management of vehicle product defects and technical actions worldwide.
In this role, you will work under direct supervision to assist in developing and testing Java backend services and Angular frontend components, while leveraging cloud-native toolchains and AI coding assistants as a standard part of delivery.

- CI/CD, Containers & Security: Exposure to version control and deployment pipelines (Maven, Git, GitHub Actions, SonarQube), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and the management of keys, certificates, tokens, and secrets.
- Cloud & Observability Basics: Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) alongside monitoring and log management stacks (Grafana, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, ELK Stack, Splunk).

- Level: Entry (2-4 Years related experience)
Qualifications & Experience:
- IT Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands‑on experience developing Java applications (academic, practical projects, or junior professional experience).
- Practical exposure to AI-assisted engineering practices (e.g., AI coding assistants).
Languages & Frameworks:
- Modern frontend development with Angular.
- Relational databases: Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Version control and CI/CD pipelines: Git, Maven, GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Jira, and container registries.
- Containerization: Docker and Kubernetes.
- Cloud platforms: Familiarity with AWS or Azure.
- Security fundamentals: Management of keys, certificates, tokens, and secrets.
- Application monitoring: AppDynamics, Dynatrace, and Grafana.
- Log management and alerting: ELK Stack, Splunk, Nagios, and Kibana.
Advantageous Skills:
- Operating system skills in Linux, CRON, and Unix filesystems.
- Knowledge of Java application servers (Quarkus, GlassFish, GlassFish Micro) and web servers (Apache, Nginx).
- Frontend development with JSF.
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation).
- Application Security Testing (AST: static, interactive, and dynamic).
- ITSM tools (ServiceNow or BMC Remedy) and ITIL incident/problem management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feature Development & Testing: Participate with feature squad members in system analysis, design, development, and testing for assigned defect management applications.
- AI‑Assisted Delivery: Build solutions and resolve software defects utilizing cloud-native toolchains and AI coding assistants as a standard part of delivery.
- CI/CD Automation: Assist in creating and maintaining automated deployment pipelines to support deployment agility and quality control.
- Cybersecurity & Hardening: Help ensure systems remain safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
- Operational Support: Assist tier‑2 and tier‑3 DevOps support activities to maintain the availability and reliability of critical applications.
- Lifecycle Upgrades: Support the planning and execution of version upgrades for tools, applications, and features within Agile cadences.
Location & Relocation
Applicants based outside of Gauteng must be willing to relocate to Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn. Please note that relocation to the province will be at the candidate's own cost.
