Mirna Butler Recruitment is supporting an established optometry-related business in George to appoint a commercially minded Regional Business Partner. This role demands an entrepreneurial owner mentality, team leadership, and a drive to grow revenue and profitability in the region.

The successful candidate will own the performance of the George operation, build a high-performing team, and shape local growth with support from an experienced national business.

Qualifications

• Experience in business/branch management or operational leadership.
• History of achieving sales, revenue or profitability targets.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Sound business and financial acumen.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Computer literacy and data-driven thinking.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle preferred.
• Experience in optometry, healthcare or specialised retail is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take full operational responsibility for the branch and its performance.
• Manage the operation with an owner’s mindset.
• Drive revenue, profitability and sustainable growth.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the region.
• Build strong relationships with customers and local stakeholders.
• Lead, motivate and manage the branch team.
• Ensure excellent customer service and professional client experience.
• Monitor budgets, expenses, stock and performance.
• Implement business strategies and local marketing initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of administration, reporting and compliance.
• Analyse performance information and take corrective action when needed.
• Protect and grow the business reputation in the local market.
