Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Risk Management Consultant to join their team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will identify, assess, and mitigate risks across business functions, helping clients build resilience and protect assets.

A hybrid work arrangement supports clients throughout the Eastern Cape region. You will develop robust risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures, and mentor client teams on best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management, internal audit, or a related advisory role.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, frameworks (e.g., COSO), and regulatory landscapes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective communication and presentation skills for reporting risks to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential financial, operational, and strategic risks.
• Develop and implement enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks and policies.
• Design and oversee risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Monitor risk exposures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert advice and training to client teams on risk management best practices in Queenstown.
