Placements24 is seeking an AI Systems Integration Engineer to join our Port Elizabeth team. You will design and implement AI integrations, build APIs and microservices, and work closely with AI/ML and software teams to ensure seamless operation within client infrastructures.

You’ll apply strong skills in Python/Java/C++, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and container tech (Docker, Kubernetes) while delivering robust, scalable solutions and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on systems integration or AI integration.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with API design and development (RESTful APIs, GraphQL).
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and common AI platforms/frameworks.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with Port Elizabeth teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement strategies for integrating AI models and platforms into client systems.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams and software developers to ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure.
• Develop APIs and microservices to facilitate communication between AI components and other applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring stability of AI-driven systems.
• Work with stakeholders to understand integration requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Develop documentation for integration processes, APIs, and system architectures.
• Ensure the security and reliability of integrated AI systems.
• Stay updated on AI integration trends and system architectures.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering practices.
