Job description

Our client based in the East Rand, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary (ENA). registered with SANC, to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting basic nursing and health assessments according to professional standards.

Key Responsibilities
Occupational health care
  • Capability to carry out basic medical examination’s tasks such as :
  • Audiometry
  • Spirometry
  • Vision Screening
  • BMI (Body Mass Index)
  • Keep medical equipment clean and well-maintained.
  • Have a willingness to travel due to national customer base.
  • Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.
  • Identify specific risks within working area and adhere to discipline-specific plans / system to avoid these risks
Occupational Health Screening Procedures
  • Assist with performance of spirometry, audiometry, vision screening and highlighting significant abnormalities to the Occupational Medical Practitioner
  • Engage in physical safety checks, interventions, and Coaching
  • Report deficiencies and implement plans to address deficiencies
  • Assess the 'fitness for duty' of team members and take any subsequent necessary action
  • To perform and interpret the screening test results
Administrative Knowledge
  • Maintain all required records and documentation.
  • Maintain logbooks of daily activities, including areas visited and activities performed.
  • Prepare and review specifications of site and clinic equipment, ensuring that proper features are presented and that items adhere to health and safety standards.
Health and Safety
  • Conduct continual safety audits to check that all safety requirements are being met
  • Report on critical control performance within team
  • Embed critical controls into daily work practices of team
  • Implement Safety & Health systems within work area
Customer service Orientation
  • To provide a prompt, efficient and personalised service to clients
Minimum Requirements
  • Nursing Auxiliary certificate
  • SANC Registration (South African Nursing Council).
  • Qualifications in Audiometry, vision screening and spirometry
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Valid drivers license and own reliable transport
