Job summary

Netcare Kuilsrivier Hospital is looking for an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary to provide direct and indirect nursing care under supervision. You will maintain a safe, clean environment, manage stock and documentation, and support infection prevention and CPR/BLS requirements.

You must hold SANC ENA registration, and a Grade 12/NQF4 is preferred. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, is expected.

Qualifications

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary.
• Compliance with the SANC Scope of Practice for an Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary.
• Preferably a Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
• Relevant nursing experience will be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a therapeutic, clean and safe environment free from medico-legal hazards.
• Adhere to waste management principles and safe waste handling.
• Report potential or actual risks identified in the ward.
• Ensure stock is well controlled and report repairs to the sister-in-charge.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Monitor vital signs and execute procedures per hospital standards.
• Carry out departmental duties as assigned by Supervisors.
• Practice infection prevention and standard precautions.
• Promote good relations with patients, relatives and visitors.
• Attend handover of report from the Shift leader.
• Refer queries to the sister-in-charge; maintain CPR/BLS competence.
