Minimum Requirements

Primary Function
  • Provide humane, scientific, safe, and comprehensive quality, nursing care to individual, families and communities within the legal bond and ethical code of conduct. Functions independently within the prescribed scope of practice to provide preventive, promotive, curative and developmental health care to individuals and groups and internal referral for any condition outside her scope of practice. Maintain professionalism, Promote Health, prevent illness.
Key Performance Areas
  • Assess, diagnose and provides preventative, curative, promotive, rehabilitative and referral health care service to clients within the boundaries of defined scope of practice, on various clinical specialties (communicable and non- communicable diseases, childhood illness, uncomplicated pre and post-natal care, etc.;
  • Provide support to professional staff / clinician’s respect of specific application associated with the provision of treatment for communicable and non-communicable diseases;
  • Participate and adhere to the prescripts of GHMIS policy;
  • Participate in the delivery of awareness and educational programs on clinical approaches to safe and health living to community;
  • Perform specific administrative sequences associated with updating of clinical records and registers;
  • Customer focused service delivery internal and external.

  • Removal of Sutures and Application / Removal of Plaster of Paris (POP);
  • Basic Applied Pharmacology and Microbiology for drug administration, Infection control and understanding of disease causality and prevention;
