Western Cape Government's Department of Infrastructure invites applications for Engineering Technician (Production Level) in Bellville. You will provide technical services across engineering research, design, manufacturing, operations and maintenance to support projects.

Required: National Diploma in Megatronic/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, 3 years post-qualification experience, compulsory ECSA registration as Engineering Technician, and a valid Code B driving license.

Qualificações

• National Diploma in Megatronic/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Three years post-qualification technical (Engineering) experience.
• Compulsory registration with ECSA as Engineering Technician.
• Valid driving license (Code B or higher).

Responsabilidades

• Render technical services: assist engineers in field, workshop and office activities.
• Promote safety in line with statutory/regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate manuals and drawings to incorporate new technology with specs and obtain approvals.
• Perform administrative and related functions.
• Provide input into budgeting processes as required.
• Compile and submit reports as required.
• Contribute to the engineering operational plan with inputs.
• Develop, implement and maintain databases.
• Supervise and manage technical personnel and assets.
• Engage in research and development to stay updated on technologies.
• Study literature to improve engineering expertise.
• Liaise with stakeholders on engineering matters.

Conhecimentos

Engineering experience (3 years)

ECSA Registration as Engineering Tech

Driving license Code B+
