• Phind-1A leading player in the energy sector is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical or Industrial Engineer to join their team as an Engineering Manager.

This full-time position is based in Johannesburg, with responsibilities extending to project sites across Southern Africa.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have strong leadership abilities, extensive project management expertise, and experience in supply chain management.

This role requires an individual who is comfortable working in a greenfield environment, handling multiple projects and proposals simultaneously, and driving the development of infrastructure in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end project management activities.
• Costing and planning of power generation projects.
• Costing, layout, and design of customer sites and distribution depots.
• Oversee and manage the LNG supply chain and logistics.
• Recruit, develop, and manage engineering staff.
• Act as the company's Health & Safety Officer, ensuring compliance across all operations.
• Support business development initiatives through technical input and cost modelling.
• Drive successful project implementation, including on-site management responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 10 years management experience in running and managing engineering projects.
• Practical experience in the natural gas, oil, or power generation industry (or similar).

Additional Qualifications

• Strong project implementation experience with on-site exposure.
• Proven knowledge of efficiencies of various fuel sources.
• Solid understanding and application of Health & Safety regulations in an energy or gas environment.
