Company Overview

Our client specialises in turn‑key energy solutions through the sourcing, distribution and supply of Small Scale Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). Their vision is to be the leading downstream supplier of LNG in Southern Africa. They are focusing on developing the downstream supply and infrastructure network for liquid natural gas and hydrogen.

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Engineer to join our team as the Engineering Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Overall project management
• Costing of power generation projects
• Costing of gas supply and supply chain
• Management of the LNG supply chain and logistics
• Recruiting and managing engineering staff
• Costing, layout, and design of new customer sites
• Costing, layout, and design of Distribution Depots
• Acting as the Health & Safety Officer of the company

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
• 10+ years of management experience running an engineering department that involves maintenance, operations and installations
• Practical experience working in the natural gas industry
• Experience working on power generation projects with an understanding of efficiencies, various fuel sources, etc.
• Practical experience in project implementation, including on‑site responsibilities
• Knowledge, understanding and implementation ability in Health & Safety aspects of the gas business
• Knowledge of Open Cycle Gas generators
• Experience with gas supplied boilers and gas pressure vessels

Remuneration Package

The package is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Location

Roodepoort, Gauteng. The position will be based in Roodepoort but will have responsibility for sites located throughout Southern Africa.
