Alignment Engineer

As an Alignment Engineer at Intelligent Technical Solutions, you are expected to perform client standards and alignment reviews and work proactively towards aligning clients that are misaligned against our company standards.

Maintain & develop company standards and best practices.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform remote standards and alignment reviews.
  • Maintain, update, and phase out assigned client standards templates as technology or client environment changes.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of assigned client environments.
  • Conduct thorough checking, updating and accuracy of client information and documentation.
  • Be responsible for upholding best practices and reporting recommendations to the VCIO.
  • Identify client technical risk and collaborate with internal teams appropriately.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the ITS standards library.
  • Actively participate in the Standards and Alignment Committee.
  • Develop both technical and business acumen relating to client sites.
  • Proactively maintain and improve clients' infrastructure remotely.
  • Review project results for thoroughness, outcomes, documentation, and quality of execution.
  • Maintain strong client relationships.
  • Keep abreast of the development of relevant IT and telecommunication systems, hardware and software applications within the industry.
  • Maintain and keep all assigned client documentation in order.
  • Assist in the training, mentoring and development of staff.
  • Perform general office duties as required remotely.
  • Liaise with, manage, and advise clients, other consultants, and contractors and attend meetings as required.
  • Perform other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Alignment Team Manager.
  • Adopt continuous learning and improvement processes in all aspects of the position.
  • Implement, participate in, and promote company policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience with Windows and macOS troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Server.
  • Experience with VMware and Hyper‑V virtualization.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Azure.
  • Minimum of five years experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of firewalls, switches, network architecture, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in supporting MS Office, Adobe, Active Directory, backup software, endpoint cybersecurity, mobile devices, and various business applications.
  • Experience with managed service providers (MSPs) is highly desirable.
  • Active server certifications are preferred.

Job Requirements

A home office set up that meets the following:
- A working computer with minimum of 8 GB RAM, i5, Windows 10 or macOS Big Sur.
- Stable internet connection with at least 5 Mbps download and upload.
- A quality headset with noise‑cancellation feature for meetings.
- A mobile phone that can install the Microsoft Authentication app.
- HD webcam.
- 2nd monitor.
- UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) if using a desktop (not needed if using a laptop).

Note: If you don't have a UPS or a secondary monitor, the company is willing to cover the initial expenses for acquiring these items. The total cost will be deducted from your salary over a three‑month period.

Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written. Able to work full time 40 hours a week – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time (EST), from Monday to Friday. Able to pass our online behavior and cognitive assessments. Preferably with at least 2 of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA.

Pay rate starts at $ per hour and varies by experience and location.
