Job Summary

Senior Project Manager – Energy and Infrastructure – Johannesburg or Cape Town, responsible for leading complex infrastructure projects across the energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project execution plans to ensure successful delivery of projects.
• Work collaboratively with the client and the Arup team.
• Manage and coordinate the integration of technical activities to enable Arup to achieve its objectives.
• Ensure project deliverables comply with design standards, legal regulations, environmental standards and necessary permits.
• Identify potential project risks and devise mitigation strategies.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders, including governments, local communities, suppliers, contractors and team members.
• Ensure Arup delivers quality service to our clients.
• Implement quality control measures to meet project standards and performance objectives.
• Oversee and report on the project's progress to senior management and stakeholders.
• Maintain technical knowledge in the energy and infrastructure field.
• Consult with others to develop the required knowledge for the role.
• Utilise the company's knowledge network to adopt best practices in approach to work.
• Have a good understanding of construction of projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, project management or a related field.
• A master's degree can enhance qualifications.
