Job summary

Cashbuild Limited in South Africa is seeking an End Controller for external applications at Southgate. You will ensure all transactions are documented, recorded, and compliant when stock leaves the store or when customers return goods.

Requirements include Grade 12 with related experience, strong numeric and communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. You will support readiness for business and maintain security protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 with 1 year work related experience or 2 years of related experience
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the area
• Must be literate and have strong numeric skills
• Proven attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Ensure no goods leave Cashbuild stores without the relevant documentation
• Capture correct date, time, sequence, and signature on documents
• Record all customer returns in the End Controller book and obtain authorisation
• Sign the End Control keys IN/OUT daily
• Ensure doors are closed when not in use and loading/off-loading doors are closed
• Report suspicious behaviour and vehicles to Management
• Conduct random checks on employees as they leave the store
• Provide fast, friendly service at check-in/out and direct customers to the right person
• Adhere to Ready for Business standards and CB Way

Description:

Ensure relevant documentation for all transactions is checked and recorded when stock and / or fixed assets leave the Store or when Customers return stock.

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 and 1 (one) year work related experience or 2 (two) years’ work related experience
• Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the geographical area where the position is available
• Must be literate
• Must have strong numeric skills
• Proven attention to detail
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays

Key Performance Area:

• Ensure no goods leave Cashbuild stores without the relevant documentation
• Completed correct and full
• Correct date, time, sequence, and signature on document has been captured
• Ensure all Customer returns are correctly recorded in the End Controller book and authorised
• Ensure back up employee available for area of responsibility with shift changes, lunch, and tea breaks
• Sign the End Control keys IN / OUT daily
• All exit / entry doors must be closed if not in use
• To ensure that loading and off-loading shutter doors are closed at all times where not in use
• Report all suspicious behaviour and vehicles which could pose a risk to Cashbuild and its Customers to Management
• Conduct random searches on Employees when they leave the Store

Customer Service

• Offer fast, friendly and efficient service to all Cashbuild Customers when checking in and out Customers goods
• Direct Customers to relevant person who can assist him / her.
