Job summary

Curro seeks to appoint an EMS Teacher (Intermediate Phase), full-time, at Curro Bloemfontein in Bloemfontein, to commence duties in October 2026. The role includes teaching and coordinating a range of subjects per Curro curriculum for the intermediate phase, focusing on knowledge transfer, skills development and positive attitudes among learners.

Requirements include a BEd and/or PGCE in intermediate phase teaching, at least two years of experience, and knowledge of the IEB curriculum.

Qualifications

• BEd and/or PGCE in intermediate phase teaching.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an intermediate phase teacher.
• Knowledge of the IEB curriculum.
• Proven facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate subjects per Curro curriculum for the intermediate phase.
• Plan lessons using modern tools, setup workbooks, measure progress.
• Manage classroom and communicate with learners and parents.
• Set up and manage assessments, revision packs and moderation.
• Plan and manage homework, extramural activities and outings.
