The role entails supporting month-end processes, guiding junior members, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Candidates must hold a relevant degree, be CA/CPA qualified, and have at least 3 years of experience in financial accounting, particularly in banking or retail. This is a full-time position based in Gauteng, South Africa.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting roles, preferably within banking or retail.
• Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Demonstrated experience in team mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Review journal entries and supporting documentation prepared by team members.
• Support the month-end close process ensuring accuracy of banking-related entries.
• Act as the go-to support for technical queries in the team.
