Overview

A highly respected, industry-leading retail organisation is seeking an Email Marketing / Deployment Specialist for a 6-month fixed-term contract to join their dynamic Marketing team. In this contract role, you will manage and enhance the deployment of marketing campaigns across the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) platform. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure campaigns are executed flawlessly, on time, and with exceptional attention to detail. This is a hands‑on position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑performance marketing environment and enjoys driving technical precision and operational excellence.

You will play a key role in optimising email marketing deployment processes, testing and validating campaigns, enabling personalisation and segmentation, and ensuring a best‑in‑class customer experience across digital channels.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Independently manage and execute the end‑to‑end deployment of email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Manage subscriber data, imports, segmentation, queries, and data extensions.
  • Oversee approval workflows, test sends, and revisions processes.
  • Configure and schedule proof campaigns and live sends while monitoring deployment performance.
  • Partner with QA teams to conduct robust testing and ensure campaigns deploy accurately and on time.
  • Test email content, rendering, and functionality using Litmus (or similar tools).
  • Ensure excellence across rendering, content, segmentation, dynamic content, personalisation, and tracking.
  • Recommend improvements to systems, processes, practices, and workflows.
  • Deploy weekly email campaigns using segmented lists or custom‑created data extensions.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly analytics and conversion reporting.
  • Understand and recommend data flows into and out of Marketing Cloud to support business requirements.
  • Build emails using Content Builder and utilise SFMC scripting languages for dynamic, personalised content.
  • Build relational data models and complex automations.
  • Produce clear reports on performance and campaign tracking data.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams across the organisation and influence stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple high‑volume projects with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Identify optimisation opportunities and take a proactive, solutions‑oriented approach.
  • Thrive in a high‑pressure environment with tight deadlines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4 years’ relevant experience in digital marketing and campaign deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience designing and coding emails and landing pages.
  • Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, or API integrations is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse data to guide campaign direction.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices.
