Job summary

A technology design company in Midrand is seeking an experienced Electronic Engineer to contribute to innovative projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include leading design projects and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication skills in English and Afrikaans are essential.   • Electronic lead designer on various projects that result in products.

  • Work in a multidisciplinary environment with clients and engineers.

Electronic Engineer, Midrand, Jhb

Remuneration: R market related pm neg

Contract Type: Permanent

Our client designs and manufactures novel and ground‑breaking products for industries including broadcast, military and hunting. Its innovative products are consistently years ahead of their time in an environment where this is a very important advantage in an extremely competitive market.

The group is currently focusing on projects in land‑based weapon systems, broadcast cameras and systems and weapon bore sighting systems. Outputs and impact are achieved through innovative products delivered to the marketplace ahead of their competitors.

Qualification & Skills & Responsibilities
  • 4 Year Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering from an academic university in SA
  • 2025 Graduate (or 1 year greater?)
  • 5 years’ experience in similar field
  • Electronic design work experience
  • Short‑listed candidates will be expected to perform evaluation tasks to determine competency, problem‑solving ability and use of resources to complete design work.
  • Software using ST processors
  • Experience in software coding, C etc.
  • Control systems work
  • Digital video imaging work
  • SolidWorks or CAD skills
  • Some mechanical/mechatronic experience will be an advantage.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in teams
