Job summary

Staff Unlimited Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Artisan (Electrician or Millwright) for a fruit packing facility in Kirkwood, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant and equipment used in citrus processing.

The position is permanent with shift work and overtime. Trade-tested Electrician or Millwright with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience, a valid Code 08 licence and reliable transport are required, and candidates must

Qualifications

Trade-tested Artisan: Electrician or Millwright.
Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in the relevant trade.
Strong mechanical background.
Valid Code 08 driver’s licence.
Own reliable transport.
Willingness to work shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on plant and equipment.
Identify faults, troubleshoot issues and repair mechanical and electrical defects.
Conduct routine plant inspections and maintain equipment.
Carry out fabrication, assembly and installation of equipment.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
Maintain good housekeeping and plan maintenance tasks effectively.
Obtain and maintain relevant work authorisations, including rigging and working at heights where required.
Provide team leadership when required.
