As a vital member of our field team, you will be at the forefront of our electrical operations, responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of diverse electrical systems and equipment across a variety of challenging projects.

Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Perform meticulous electrical inspections and testing, ensuring full compliance with BS (IET Wiring Regulations) and other relevant standards.
  • Expertly diagnose and resolve complex electrical malfunctions, power outages, and system failures.
  • Interpret and work confidently from electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Install and connect critical components such as control panels, switchgear, and transformers.
  • Conduct specialised site surveys, including ducting assessments for containment and detailed PLC/telemetry cable and signal identification for control systems.
  • Specialise in control panel fabrication for leading brands like ABB, Siemens meters, and custom YDOC installations.
  • Set up and commission overpumping electrical systems.
  • Provide on‑site supervision for electrical works, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborate effectively with other trades and contractors (e.g., RSE, Unitspark, Bilfinger) to ensure seamless project delivery and integration.
  • Uphold the highest standards of health and safety regulations in all aspects of your work.
  • Record and report accurately on all completed work, materials used, and any issues encountered.
Qualifications & Certifications
  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrotechnical Technology (or equivalent NVQ Level 3).
  • Preferred: City & Guilds Inspection and Testing qualification (or equivalent) and / or an ECS Gold Card.
Skills & Experience
  • A minimum of 3–5 years' post‑qualification experience as a fully qualified Electrician.
  • Proven track record in commercial, industrial, or renewable energy sectors, with specific experience in control panel building, comprehensive electrical testing, and site supervision.
  • Exceptional diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities, particularly with complex electrical and control systems.
  • Proficiency in interpreting complex electrical schematics and control diagrams (PLC/telemetry).
  • Strong commitment to quality workmanship and rigorous adherence to safety protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effective teamwork and independent work.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced, dynamic project environment.
