Job description

Introduction

Electrician KrugersdorpA well known food producer in the West Rand has a vacancy for a Red Seal qualified Electrician, The successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Foreman and will be responsible for Electrical maintenance and breakdowns in the factory.

To improve the reliability and plant availability of plant equipment.

Reliability is generally improved through preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding plant equipment and machinery.

The primary focus of this position is processing, filling, seaming and labelling machinery.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Demonstrate behaviours in support of company safety procedures with focus on zero injuries.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe.
• Follow and comply with all Safe Quality Food (SQF), HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
• Effectively and accurately troubleshoot and make routine adjustments and repairs to industrial equipment and machinery to maintain production and maintenance schedules.
• Experience in package equipment labelling Machines, shrink-wrapping, Depalletizes and palletizers.
• Monitor repairs and validate that the problem has been solved.
• Be able to do fault finding on S7 Siemens plc's.
• Be able to operate Fanuc robot in manual from the pendant in case of a breakdown.
• Write complete job-cards on Shopware.
• Maintain a high level of urgency in response to tasks assigned.
• Participate in the Breakdown Elimination process to reduce the frequency of breakdowns and improve equipment reliability.
• Maintain and improve 5S standards.
• Follow Maintenance Standard Procedures and seek to improve machinery specific procedures where possible.
• Share knowledge and experience with other Electricians.
• S7 plc programming, VSD programming.
• Work on instrumentation e.g. temperature probes, flow meters, pressure transmitters and level probes.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Grade 12.
• Minimum N3 in Electrical Engineering.
• Trade Test (Red Seal).
• Must have demonstrable knowledge of DMS.
• Must possess strong electrical aptitude demonstrated through troubleshooting skills.
• 4-5 years' experience within an FMCG Industry or manufacturing environment.
