Job summary

A leading steel processing operation in Saldanha is seeking a qualified Electrical Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing electrical systems and automation, including PLC programming and fault-finding. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an engineering environment is required, along with Siemens PLC expertise. The role includes standby duties, with potential relocation to the West Coast.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience post-S4 or 10 years post-N6.
• Proven experience with Siemens systems.
• Ability to interpret complex electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and unplanned maintenance on electrical systems.
• Install and upgrade electrical systems.
• Support continuous improvement of plant performance.
