Are you a hands‑on problem solver with a passion for keeping critical equipment running smoothly

A leading player in the manufacturing sector is looking to appoint a highly skilled Electrical Technician to join their Sasolburg‑based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with deep technical knowledge and a strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

Working within a high-performance environment the successful candidate will be responsible for fault finding, problem solving and driving equipment reliability improvements. This role is vital to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of a busy production facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance with OHS Act and statutory requirements
  • Conduct MTTR & MTBF analysis to identify problematic equipment and areas for improvement
  • Review maintenance schedules, work orders and resource utilisation
  • Execute root cause analyses and support reliability improvement initiatives
  • Approve purchase orders within cost limits and liaise with service providers
  • Drive and maintain 5S workplace organisation principles
  • Collaborate with reliability engineers and support RCA investigations
  • Support the execution of asset care strategies and maintenance best practices
Requirements
  • N6 / in Engineering with a Trade Test (Red Seal)
  • Diploma in relevant engineering discipline preferred
  • CRMP certification advantageous
  • 510 years experience in a maintenance environment ideally with asset care involvement
  • Expert-level skills in fault finding, problem solving and repair methods
  • Strong understanding of CMMS and maintenance planning systems
  • Proficient in MS Office and computer literacy essential
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver results
  • Strong commitment to health, safety and compliance
  • Multiskilled and adaptable with experience in plant‑specific equipment
