Job summary

A job platform is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician in Johannesburg. The role involves managing engineering specifications, conducting maintenance audits, and identifying equipment risks. The ideal candidate should have a National Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical, at least 5 years’ engineering experience, and strong technical skills in maintenance processes. A Code B Driver’s License is also required. This position focuses on ensuring the operational integrity of engineering assets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Facilities Maintenance.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Engineering.
  • Experience with engineering maintenance, CRM & Property Management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage engineering specifications for new and existing assets.
  • Complete maintenance and statutory asset audits and inspections.
  • Identify maintenance risks on equipment and resolve issues.
  • Review and contribute to maintenance strategies and tactics.
  • React to major equipment failures as first responder.
  • Manage vendors and contractors for equipment servicing.

  • Code B Driver’s License
  • MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Project & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level), SAP knowledge
  • OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management & Risk Management Systems
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Facilities Maintenance
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Engineering
  • Engineering maintenance, CRM & Property Management
KPAs :
  • Develop and manage engineering specifications in the region for new assets and the maintenance of existing assets.
  • Complete highly technical maintenance and statutory asset audits and inspections.
  • Identify maintenance risks on client’s equipment for evaluation and resolution via FRL & Risk Notification processes.
  • Review and contribute to scopes of works, maintenance strategies and maintenance tactics.
  • React to major equipment failures as first responder in order to return to service as soon as possible.
  • Manage vendors, suppliers, contractors and OEM’s in order to bring equipment back to services and manage specifications for its operations, maintenance and extension of asset life cycle.
