NB: This is a role based in the Netherlands, and we are considering relocating engineers with an affinity for the Dutch/Afrikaans language.

I’m looking for someone who:

• Holds a higher professional education/degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, electrical power engineering, or a comparable field.
• Has a passion for electricity networks (high voltage) and energy technology.
• Brings at least 3 years of experience designing complex high- and medium-voltage systems.
• Possesses strong communication skills and thrives in a project-based environment.
• Ideally has a strong affinity with the Dutch language (such as being able to speak Afrikaans), as it’s essential to learn Dutch for this role.

Who is interested in:

• Designing secondary systems for high-voltage substations (expansion, renovation, new builds).
• Translating functional designs into executable project plans.
• Preparing technical documentation and execution drawings using Systems Engineering methodology.
• Acting as a sparring partner to the Technical Manager throughout all project phases.
• Monitoring progress, resolving issues, and ensuring quality and compliance.
