Job summary

West Coast Personnel in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, is seeking an experienced Electrical Draughtsperson for a manufacturing automotive environment. You will produce and revise electrical drawings, ensure documentation is current, and support ISO 50001 compliance.

The ideal candidate has up to 3 years of draughting experience, an NQF6 Electrical Engineering diploma, and Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.

Qualifications

• NQF 6 Electrical Engineering diploma (Light or Heavy Current).
• Up to 3 years' electrical draughting experience in manufacturing.
• Matric/Grade 12.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and/or EPLAN.
• Solid understanding of electrical installations, SANS 10142, IEC, ISO 50001.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Produce and revise electrical drawings (single line, schematics, layouts, cable schedules).
• Maintain current, version-controlled electrical documentation.
• Maintain ISO 50001 compliance in electrical documentation.
• Track drawing changes and as-built updates.
• Lead electrical design on projects from concept to implementation.
• Deliver projects on time, within budget, with minimal risk.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders (Production, Maintenance, Projects).
• Represent the department in technical meetings and problem-solving forums.
