About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Electrical Design Engineer with a strong focus on Power Systems to join their fully remote engineering team. This role will involve the design and development of electrical infrastructure and power solutions for a variety of projects, with key support for operations including those in East London. You will work independently and collaboratively with a distributed team, utilizing advanced design tools and methodologies to create efficient, reliable, and safe electrical systems. The ideal candidate is self-driven, detail-oriented, and experienced in translating project requirements into robust electrical designs, all within a flexible remote work setup. This position offers the chance to contribute to impactful projects without the need for a physical office presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and earthing, for various project types.
• Prepare detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Select appropriate electrical components and equipment based on project requirements and standards.
• Conduct calculations for load, fault current, and voltage drop.
• Review and approve electrical designs and shop drawings from vendors and contractors.
• Provide technical support during project implementation and commissioning phases.
