Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to join our automation team. The role is remote from Paarl, enabling you to design, program, and commission PLC and HMI systems for industrial automation and manufacturing.

You will work independently, troubleshoot and optimize control solutions, collaborate with engineers and clients, and deliver projects with remote support and occasional on-site visits if needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial automation and controls engineering.
• Proficient in programming major PLC platforms and HMI software.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Profibus).
• Ability to manage projects and communicate effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities
