Job summary

EdUpStairs in Gqeberha (Eastern Cape) seeks a seasoned Artisan with a minimum trade certificate and five years post-qualification experience. You will design, supervise production, inspect equipment, and handle repairs in accordance with standards.

Responsibilities include obtaining quotes, submitting reports, and supervising staff to ensure quality service delivery. The role requires knowledge of project management, technical design/analysis, OHSA compliance, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate and five years post-qualification experience as an Artisan.
• Valid driver\'s licence and knowledge of project management.
• Technical design and analysis proficiency; computer-aided tech applications.
• Knowledge of legal compliance and OHSA requirements.
• Technical report writing; production/process knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and production of objects; supervise and produce designs per client specs and production capability.
• Produce objects with material and equipment per job spec and standards.
• Inspect equipment and facilities for technical faults; maintain repairs to electrical standards.
• Test repaired equipment against specifications.
• Update register of maintained and repaired faults.
• Obtain quotations and purchase required equipment and materials.
• Compile and submit reports as required.
• Supervise employees to ensure effective service delivery.
