Placements24 is seeking an Elderly Care Companion to provide companionship and light assistance in Randburg, Gauteng. You will engage in conversation, support daily activities, and help maintain a safe, comfortable home environment for seniors.

The role emphasizes empathy, reliable communication with clients and families, and flexibility to cover evenings or weekends as needed. Previous elderly care experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consistent companionship and engage in stimulating conversation with elderly clients.
• Assist clients with non-medical tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
• Accompany clients on errands, appointments, and social outings in Randburg.
• Monitor clients' well-being and report any significant changes or concerns to the care coordinator.
• Assist with basic mobility and transfer support as needed.
• Provide medication reminders and ensure clients take their prescribed medications.
• Engage clients in enjoyable activities such as reading, games, or hobbies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for the client.
• Offer emotional support and a friendly presence to combat loneliness and isolation.

Requirements
