ERM Bursary Program

ERM is seeking talented graduates to join our bursary program and pursue postgraduate studies in environmental, earth, or natural sciences, as well as select engineering, economics, or social science fields.

This bursary aims to develop future leaders and foster transformation in our industry.

Selected candidates will :
  • Enter into a contract with ERM South Africa.
  • Be evaluated quarterly to ensure academic progress.

Eligibility – ERM Bursary Requirements

To qualify for the bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria.

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Have completed a relevant undergraduate qualification.
  • Be currently unemployed.
  • Intend to study towards a postgraduate qualification, in any of the fields listed above.
  • Intend to study at a recognised institution of higher education in South Africa.

Failure to meet all requirements may result in your application being disqualified.

Applications are available on the ERM Bursaries Portal. Applicants will have to visit the portal to access it.

Clear copies of the following supporting documents must be submitted alongside the application form. If any of them is missing, your applications may not be considered.

  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Most recent academic transcript (certified copy)
  • Essay on 1 of the 14 selected topics (listed on the application link above), with the Plagiarism Declaration included on the cover page (maximum of 3,000 words)
