Senior Financial Reporting Audit Accountant - Hedge Funds

Join Apex Group Ltd. as a Senior Financial Reporting Audit Accountant. Established in Bermuda, Apex Group is now one of the world's largest fund administration and middle office solutions providers, with over 13,000 employees worldwide.

We are committed to empowering our team members and fostering their careers. The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare annual financial statements (AFS) for all funds, review these statements, and manage the audit process from start to finish.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of IFRS, Luxembourg GAAP, and US GAAP.
  • Minimum B in Accounting or equivalent, with 3+ years of audit or fund accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Word.
  • Strong system skills and competence.
  • Deep understanding of IFRS (especially IFRS 7, IAS 32, IAS 39), IAS, and consolidations, as well as Luxembourg GAAP; US GAAP knowledge is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of fund structures, hedge funds, and unit trusts.
  • Experience in client dealings and financial statement preparation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated, confident, and enthusiastic with a proven track record of achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main contact for auditors.
  • Prepare and distribute the audit timetable, liaising with auditors and reviewing the audit schedule.
  • Prepare trial balances using reports from InvestOne and Advent Geneva.
  • Prepare interim and annual financial statements based on trial balances and reports.
  • Compile audit packs and send necessary information to auditors as per the audit timetable.
  • Manage the audit log and queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Follow up on outstanding audit issues and communicate progress to relevant parties.
  • Update financial statements with auditor comments and distribute accordingly.
  • Stay updated on changes in IFRS and their impact on financial reporting.
