Job description

Job summary:

Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of all enterprise database systems. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, governance, security, and scalability of the SQL Server environment and data platforms, while supporting the organisation's digital transformation agenda and regulatory obligations.

  5. Team leadership & capability development
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (postgraduate preferred)
  • Minimum 8-10 years of SQL Server database administration experience
  • At least 3 years in senior or leadership roles
  • Expertise in clustered SQL environments, SSIS/SSRS, Power BI integration, and warehousing
  • Knowledge of data governance, backup architecture, and regulatory compliance (POPIA, ISO 27001)
