We're Hiring: Transformation Leader – Healthcare Processes

Location: Cape Town | US Hours (e.g., 2pm–11pm SAST) | In-Office Role

Join a global powerhouse in digital transformation and be at the forefront of reshaping healthcare operations. EXL is seeking a Transformation Leader to drive large-scale healthcare process transformations and lead high-impact teams across automation, analytics, RPA, and clinical operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as the SME for business transformation supporting EXL’s healthcare operations in Cape Town.
  • Design best-in-class administrative clinical processes for the US healthcare market and provide thought leadership internally and externally.
  • Build and deploy clinical transformation roadmaps using automation, analytics, and data science to enhance efficiency, quality, and patient outcomes.
  • Lead a high-performing team of process consultants, RPA engineers, data scientists, and analysts.
  • Partner with Operations and Client Leaders to:
  • Deep dive into processes, uncover bottlenecks, and build solutions.
  • Align with stakeholders and ensure KPIs and metrics are best-in-class.
  • Create and implement scalable solutions on time and within budget.
  • Conduct market research and publish thought leadership that shapes EXL’s healthcare positioning.

What You Need to Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).
  • 15+ years’ experience with 10+ years in transformation using re-engineering, automation, and analytics.
  • 5+ years working in the US healthcare market, particularly in administrative clinical areas (e.g., utilization management, prior authorization).
  • Proven leadership in transformation teams (consultants, RPA, analytics).
  • Strong experience with contact center operations (voice-based environments).
  • Must have worked with major transformation firms like Genpact, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, TP, etc.
  • Certified in Lean Six Sigma / Master Black Belt.
