Job summary

Placements24 seeks an Educational Technology Specialist to drive the integration and effective use of technology in education on a Durban campus. You will support faculty and students in leveraging digital tools and platforms to enhance teaching and learning outcomes, combining technical know-how with pedagogical insight.

You will design and deliver workshops, assist with LMS usage, and collaborate across IT and academic teams to ensure smooth technology adoption and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with emphasis on tech in education.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in educational technology support/integration.
• Proficiency with LMS platforms (Moodle, Canvas) and ed-tech tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and training to educators and students on ed-tech tools.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement new educational technologies.
• Develop and deliver workshops on effective classroom tech use.
• Troubleshoot issues with educational software, hardware and online platforms.
• Collaborate with IT and academic staff for seamless tech integration.
• Stay updated on ed-tech trends and propose innovative solutions.
