Job summary

Netcare invites you to join a dedicated team where you will coordinate quality nursing care and ensure ethical practice in a multi-disciplinary setting. You will mentor staff, lead capacity building and drive continuous improvement in patient care within the nursing department.

The role focuses on governance, risk management, cost-control, and delivering safe, evidence-based care to patients across the unit. Strong leadership and adherence to policies are essential.

Qualifications

• A relevant nursing qualification (Diploma in General Nursing/ B Cur Degree) or equivalent NQF 7 qualification.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
• Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate improved quality nursing care and ensure compliance with professional practice.
• Monitor nursing service delivery within a multi-disciplinary quality assurance team.
• Coordinate capacity building, mentoring and training for staff development.
• Identify quality improvement opportunities and develop strategy and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure safety standards and compliance with relevant acts; monitor and maintain equipment and asset registers.
• Promote infection prevention and standard precautions and evaluate patient care quality indicators.
