Job Description
The Ecommerce Fulfillment Supervisor will be responsible for managing the end-to-end fulfillment process for orders across all platforms. This includes overseeing inventory accuracy, coordinating with the warehouse team, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the processing, picking, packing, and shipping of orders across Amazon South Africa, Makro, Takealot, Facebook Marketplace, and ClickNow Online.
- Monitor order statuses daily to ensure all orders are fulfilled within stipulated timeframes.
- Resolve any issues or delays in order processing and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate inventory records across all platforms.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Coordinate restocking efforts with the purchasing team and warehouse staff.
- Lead and manage the fulfillment team, including warehouse staff and order processors.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure adherence to performance targets.
- Provide training and guidance to new team members on company policies and fulfillment procedures.
- Ensure that all orders are packed correctly and meet quality standards.
- Minimize errors in shipments and returns through consistent process improvements.
- Manage marketplace-specific requirements, such as Takealot's Seller Portal, to maintain compliance.
- Regularly update product listings and stock levels on all platforms to avoid overselling.
- Collaborate with the customer service team to address escalated issues related to order fulfillment.
- Generate and analyze reports on order volumes, shipping performance, and inventory accuracy.
- Provide weekly updates to management on fulfillment operations and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in ecommerce operations or fulfillment, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software, ecommerce platforms (e.g., Takealot Seller Portal, Amazon Seller Central), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Problem‑Solving: Demonstrated ability to resolve operational challenges effectively.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing inventory and order processing.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
